Red Fried Rice: Red rice is more beneficial for kids as it contains more fiber than the usual white rice and most kids love to eat this red rice.
Ingredients:
- Red rice – 1 cup
- Capsicum, beans, carrots, tomato, onion – finely chopped
- Mustard seeds and turmeric powder – ½ tbsp (each)
- Raw peanuts – 3 to 4 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Oil or ghee
- Salt to taste
- Freshly chopped coriander leaves – ½ cup
Method:
- First, cook the rice and keep that aside.
- Fry the peanuts.
- Heat some oil and add mustard seeds and curry leaves in the hot oil.
- Now, add chopped onions and fry till it becomes golden brown.
- Now, add tomatoes, chopped vegetables, turmeric powder, chili powder (optional), and salt. Cook till all the vegetables are soft.
- In the end, mix the rice in the vegetable mixture and decorate it with chopped coriander leaves.

Ingredients:
- Whole wheat pasta – 1 cup

- Tomato sauce – 3 to 4 cups
- 3 to 4 crushed garlic pods
- Pasta seasoning
- Salt
- Butter – 1 tbsp
Method:
- First, boil and keep the pasta aside and heat the butter in a pan.
- Saute the garlic in the pan for a minute.
- Now, add chopped onion and cook them until they are golden brown.
- Add the chopped vegetables and cook properly.
- Then, add salsa sauce, tomato ketchup, salt, and pasta seasoning and cook for some time.
- After 3 to 4 minutes add the boiled pasta to the vegetables.
- Mix everything well and cook for some time.
- Once the cooking is done serve pasta with whole wheat garlic bread.
